Eligibility for Admission

A student may be admitted to B.A. / B.Com/ B.Sc. three years general degree course after passing the H.S. Examination in the General Stream conducted by W.B.C.H.S.E. in 10+2 pattern after completion of 12 years Study or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, provided that he/she has obtained at least pass marks in five subjects and in English also as compulsory subject. Other eligibility conditions are decided as per rules and regulation prescribed by the University.

Eligibility (Honours Course): A student must obtain at least 45% marks in total or 40% in total with 50% in the Subject Concerned in the last qualifying examination (H.S or Equivalent).

Special Notes:

1. The State Level Board or National Level Board in regular mode will be allowed to get admitted in Honours / General Course.
2. 10% and 5% Merit Point will be deducted from total Merit Points Credited to the students who have passed 12th standard in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
3. A candidate already registered in University of Gour Banga in any earlier years is not eligible for taking admission in BA/B.Com 1^st year classes in the year 2016.
