Sports & Games

In the context of sports and games, the college can boast of its large play ground with provision of both indoor and outdoor game facilities and a gymnasium, equipped with advanced fitness machines. Facilities for outdoor (Football, Cricket, Badminton, Athletics) as well as indoor games (Chess, Carrom) are available within the college. Inter-departmental Carrom, Badminton and Cricket, Kho-Kho competitions are regularly held.

PLAY GROUND:

A large football playground with an area of 9310 sq.mt. is available within college campus. Another one is 9394 sq. ft. It has been put to regular use for the all-round development of the students. Students regularly play outdoor games like Football, Cricket, Kho- Kho, Badminton and Athletics in these grounds. A cricket pitch at the centre is present in the ground. Annual College sports are held every year in this ground for both outdoor and indoor games.

GYMNASIUM:

A newly build gymnasium, equipped with advanced fitness machines is functioning on regular basis for the students and staff.

ACTIVITIES:

1.The Annual Sports Day is observed with great enthusiasm every year on the College ground. The Athletic Committee of the College organizes this annual event in which students, teachers and non-teaching staff participate and the most talented sportsman/athletes are identified for participation in Inter College events. Trophies, medal and certificates are given to the winning participants. Students also participate in the Inter-College Sports Meet organized by Government.

2.Regular Physical Activities are done by the students of Physical Education

4.Yoga classes and workshops are regularly organized by the Physical Education department and NSS

5.Inter college District level sport, organized by the DPI, Govt. Of West Bengal for the session 2023-24 was held in Shree Agrasen Mahavidyalaya
